I DIDNT WRITE THIS EITHER BUT THINK THIS IS A BEAUTFUL PRAYER. MY FAMILY ARE NOT CATHOLIC BUT WE PRAY THIS EVEY NIGTH BEFORE BEDTIME FOR THE ENTIRE WORLD.
Peace Prayer of St. Francis:
Lord, make me an instrument
of your peace;
where there is hatred,
let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy;
Grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood,
as to understand,
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving
that we receive,
it is in pardoning
that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying
that we are born to eternal life.

Blessed are you, Lord God,
maker of all living creatures.
On the fifth and sixth days of creation,
you called forth fish in the sea,
birds in the air and animals on the land.
You inspired St. Francis to call all animals
his brothers and sisters.
We ask you to bless this animal.
By the power of your love,
enable it to live according to your plan.
May we always praise you
for all your beauty in creation.
Blessed are you, Lord our God, in all your creatures! Amen.
A Pet Blessing
Dearest God, Heavenly Father
maker of all living creatures,
we ask you to bless (name of pet),
who brings so much joy into our lives.
By the power of Your love,
enable him (her) to live according to your plan.

God Our Heavenly Father,
You created the world

A lost pet is a difficult situation, and sometimes it feels like there is nothing we can do to get a lost pet back. Fortunately, God hears prayer! This prayer for a lost pet is Catholic in nature, and joins our prayers with St. Francis (patron of pets) and St. Anthony of Padua (patron of lost items).
